Welcome To Guided Battlefield Tours

For those looking for something a little more special

An Unforgetable experience...

We have led battlefield coach tours for over ten years and we are proud of the excellent reputation we have gained in that time. Our strongest recommendation has been the number of returning clients, some of whom joined us on more than ten tours. Our reputation is based on tours which bring history to life, which are personal to you and are based on a foundation of research and visits to the battlefields spanning over 30 years. The focus of our company has now moved away from providing coach tours; we now provide bespoke self-drive tours for those who wish to travel independently. In doing this our aims and ethos are exactly the same.

As soon as you contact us we will listen to your reasons for travel and discuss any special interests and needs you may have. This will be the beginning of a process which creates a tour personal to you. We can design an itinerary which is an introduction to the battlefields or create a more specialised tour; you may wish to follow in the footsteps of a family member or to focus on a particular aspect of the wars, such as tunnelling or the World War 1 poets. We can incorporate any family research which you have undertaken or can undertake research on your behalf.

We want your self-drive battlefield tour to be memorable in helping you to appreciate what WW1 and WW2 meant for all of those involved. We also want it to be memorable for the high quality of pre-travel service. We have a solid reputation for our attention to detail.
We will plan an itinerary that is agreed with you before travel. It will be your tour to meet your particular interests and needs and the time you have available; we will provide you with a tour pack designed for you. Each pack will contain an agreed itinerary and directions, but its main purpose will be to bring each site alive in terms of its history and the experiences of those who were there during the two world wars.

Tours and COVID-19

For the foreseeable future, the pandemic crisis will make overseas travel a very different experience to that which we have been used to. Our self-drive tours provide a means by which people can still undertake a battlefield tour, while also feeling much more in control of arrangements for their own wellbeing and safety. You will be able to travel in your own vehicle with people you know and choose your own preferred arrangements in such things as sites to visit, meals and accommodation. The areas of the World War 1 and World War 2 battlefields are also generally well provided for in terms of self-catering accommodation.
